Architectural timber and structural oak beams can be machined to the exact sizes you require. Whether its green oak beams or seasoned oak, Timberpride's machining capability ensures the timber fits the building perfectly (and not the other way around)!
Seasoned oak is gaining popularity with many architects for both restoration and new build projects. The time spent seasoning improves its stability. Seasoning oak beams takes up to 7 years. During this time it releases many of its stresses, the inevitable splits develop allowing the finished beam to be more predictable, this is why it is often known as "steady oak".
Fresh sawn or Green oak is cut to size from the log and immediately put to use. Because the timber is wet, it is easier to work and can be more cost effective in some projects.
Timberpride mills structural timber to the very highest standards. Its highly experienced and skilled team cut oak beams in-house, accurately saving you time and money and eliminating the frustration of changing your plans to suit the timber available!
