Can you save joiners time and money by labelling?

Timberpride carefully labels all the items in your cutting list so you don't have to figure out which piece is used where.

What are the longest lengths available?

18m for beams and structural oak and 6.2m metres for joinery oak.

Can you supply other woods in addition to oak?

A.

Yes please let us know what you are looking for and we'll quote accordingly

Can you produce bespoke flooring?

What happens if I am not happy with the quality of the wood when it arrives?

A.

Timber is a raw material and despite quality checks and high levels of care and attention, there will also be the occasional anomaly. Timberpride will replace any defective or substandard material without quibble.

Can I visit you to see your facilities?

Can I pick the piece of timber I want for cabinet making?

Yes and many do, simply use the contact form or call to arrange a convenient time to drop in.

What is your lead time?

A.

Our lead time is a max of 5 - 7 days however we will always try to accommodate urgent orders.

Do you sell English Oak?

A.

No all of our oak is sourced from Europe, mostly France.

10.

Can I have a price per cubic foot?

A.

Yes you can have a price per cubic foot however we would always recommend pricing from a cutting list to help reduce costs.

What treatments can I use?

A.

One of the advantages of using European oak is that it is not necessary to use preservatives or treatments which you might with other species of timber. However, it is common practice for tradesmen to use natural oils when finishing jobs in European oak.

How far can you deliver?

A.

We can accommodate deliveries anywhere across the UK.

Is the Oak treated for worm?

A.

It is unusual for worm to be a problem in oak. However if there are worm present in the timber the kiln drying process will kill them. Chemical treatments are not normally necessary.

14.

Can the flooring be used with under floor heating?

A.

Yes. However it is important that the environment is absolutely dry and the heating has been tested before the floor is laid. We recommend a maximum width of board laid is 175mm.

Can you source any other hardwoods?

A.

Yes. We deal in native European hardwoods and can therefore source for most requirements.

16.

Do you sell softwoods?

A.

No, our expertise lies in hardwoods, but we can suggest suppliers who could help you.

17.

Can you recommend a Builder/Joiner/floor fitter?

A.

Yes, we are happy to give names of builders, joiners or fitters who may be able to help.

18.

What is the structural grade of the oak beams?

A.

All our beams are QP1 grade. There is more information in our grading section. But do speak to your builder for more advice.

19.

Can I open a credit account?

A.

We operate trade credit accounts, application on request. For other customers we accept payment by cheque and card.
