When choosing or specifying oak for a project the finishing touches are all important. Quality and detail at the end of the project can be the difference between ordinary and remarkable.
With this in mind we make a range of mouldings, produced from carefully selected joinery grade European oak.
You can have your own bespoke design for architraves or skirting boards or use one of our standard profiles. Our skilled staff using precision production equipment will manufacture your mouldings to order.
Architraves frame the doorway or opening into or out of a room. They can be used as a window surround or simply to create a border round an aperture. Architraves can be simple understated or functional, or they can be dramatic, flamboyant, a style statement or simply suit the style and period of the house.
What ever your choice oak architraves, made in your chosen moulding, will add a quality finish to a room.
Skirting boards frame the bottom of the wall, providing protection to the wall and a neat and tidy join between wall and floor.
Solid oak skirting naturally sits with an oak floor and is the perfect finish. In a carpeted room oak skirting creates a contrast between floor and wall adding depth to the quality of finish.
The most popular profile, Chamfer, is both classic and simple, leaving the oak to speak for itself. Torus adds a little more detail and a slightly grander effect.
Beading is a small moulding and is often used as a subtle detail, usually to cover gaps in a corner, producing a pleasing finish. It can also be used as a glazing cover strip and is a neat method of securing glass in windows, screens or partitions.
A style of door that has stood the test of time. The door is made up of a number of profiled lengths of board, to fit the aperture, these are held together with a series of ledges and braces on the reverse of the door.
Great for site workers, this beaded V jointed T&G profile is perfect for producing traditional Ledge & Brace doors in European joinery oak.
The door lining is the internal door frame, and is used to fix the hinges, striker plate and latch into. The door stop is fixed within the lining to hold the door in place when it is closed. The architraves are then placed on the front of the frame covering any gaps between lining and wall to finish and frame the doorway.
These profiled lengths of joinery oak, include lining, stops and architrave are sufficient for most standard doors.
